The Team
TechNature consists of 13 permanent employees and 10 on-call workers. Furthermore, there are always students from universities, universities of applied sciences, and vocational education carrying out various sub-projects or research. Teamwork, informal contact, and short lines of communication with each other and customers are typical of our work. TechNature is a stable SME company with the spirit of a start-up. The Origin of TechNature
Wouter Bac is the founder of TechNature. After completing his master's in Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering at Wageningen University, he did a PhD with the development of a pepper harvesting robot as the subject. Afterwards, he taught image analysis at Wageningen University for several years.
During his PhD, Wouter started working at a start-up. This is where the idea for Vision & Robotics in combination with the agro-industry originated. Where competitors often focus on large companies and are not very flexible in their solutions for specific customers, that is precisely what TechNature does.

Future
The consultancy branch remains an interesting segment. However, product development - both perfecting prototypes and developing new products - now has priority. That's why TechNature has switched to building machines with visual and robotics technology themselves. With the advent of Artificial Intelligence and Deep-Learning technology, the team can continue for years to come.
The growing team works daily on product development and further penetration of national and international markets. As a result, interested companies from all over the world are now visiting the locations where TechNature machines can be seen at work.
